DebConf22 featured an _indoor_ conference dinner on Friday; on Monday/Tuesday several people reported positive tests from home. I _guess_ there is more than just correlation between these two facts.

COVID policies,

Right, although this wouldn't allow to say which parts of the Covid policy/rules or what single failure attributed to lower/higher infection rates.
