DebConf19 has a logo

Hi,

The DebConf19 organization that it will take place in July 2019 in Curitiba is proud to announce the logo contest winner that received proposals to choose the image it will identificate the event.

We received 11 logos proposals [2], some of them referring to Curitiba and others to Brazil. After that a public poll where anyone could vote in your three favorite logo. The votes were counting and the final result [3] pointed the winner logo [4] was made by brasilian Ramon Mulin andit combine the word DebConf with a "tamanduá-bandeira" [5].

The "Tamanduá-bandeira" is one of the four bigger species of anteaters finded on Central America and South America, and is a species in danger of extintion. It's easily recognized for the long nose and extended tongue, this caracteristics facilitate the diet of ants and termites, and the animal is one of brazilian symbol.

We thank each person who made their time available to make and submit their proposal, and the people who gently participated in the voting process. These initiatives make the DebConf19 organization feel confident that the community will support and help in holding a great event in Brazil!
