I doubt anyone is streaming Debconf video over packet radio.

My experience was that I and others freely used expletives in various
conversations at DC14 (both in the formal conference and day trip, and
at satellite events such as the informal groups at various bars) and
no-one seemed in the least bit bothered.

I think the consensus appears to be that they are fine per se, if
you're not targeting individuals, using gender or racial epithets,
sexual innuendo, etc.

Unless someone feels that the restriction actually makes Debconf a
more welcoming environment, the CoC should probably be relaxed on this
point.
