Hi,

just wanted to share a nice bar with you, which we found by chance yesterday,
Barcade in Williamsburg. The cool thing about it is that it features *lots*
of original arcade machines from the eighties (mostly, there is also the
original asteroids from 1979 with pre-pixel graphics and probably one game
from nineties) with the same price as in the eighties: a quarter (25cents).
(They also have lots of draft beers, but thats not the reason to go there :)

http://www.nerd-ny.com/?p=182 has a review, listing many more games (dig dug,
ghost'n'goblis, donkey kong, frogger, 1943, tetris etc etc).

There is also http://www.barcadebrooklyn.com/ but that needs flash.

Obviously the software is all non-free, but those were the times! ;-)

Yes. And most of the top scores on each arcade are tracked and recorded on a nice blackboard on the top of the bar so you can become famous there :)
