Hi all! Some of you maybe remember that for DebConf7 I travelled from Genève to Edimburgh with my motorbike: because of the very beautiful weather I had, it was mostly a wet journey. For this year DebConf I will do the same and there are already two differences WRT DebConf7: first, the weather should not be so rainy (I hope) and, second, I will not travel alone, since after having been one of the maybe-next-DPL "sponsors", I will also be Zack's bodyguard on the long way to Cáceres :-) Zack and me have not yet finished to plan the trip and we still have two major open points: - dates We slightly agreed that a good option would be to arrive at Cáceres on Saturday, July 18th and then to leave at most on Friday, July 31th. Since Zack needs to be in Italy on Sunday, Aug 2nd, the departure will be at most on Friday, July 31th. - route For the departure trip, depending on Zack's motorbike location (Bologna, Italy, or MarParis, France), we will meet either something near Marseille or Bordeau, respectively. Tre trip distance is around 2000km, which in no way can be completed in a single day. We have not discussed this in details, but a good option would be three stops somewhere on the road. Again, given Zack's "obligations" for the return trip, we will head towards South France after DebConf9. Is anyone else interested? Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca
