Mar Del Plata, Argentina, 8 August 2008 - On Saturday, 16 August,
the Debian Project turns 15 years of age.

Steve Gran of the DebConf orga team is boiling with excitement: "I
intend to spend Debian's 15th birthday naked with sheep!"

About DebConf

DebConf is the Debian Project's developer conference. In addition to
a full schedule of technical, social and policy talks, DebConf provides
an opportunity for developers, contributors and other interested people
to meet in person and work together more closely. It has taken place
annually since 2000 in locations as varied as Canada, Finland and
Mexico.

DebConf8 starts on Sunday, 10 August 2008, and ends Saturday, 16 August
2008. The conference will be held in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.

DebConf will be preceded by DebCamp, from Saturday, 2 August 2008, to
Saturday, 9 August 2008. DebCamp is a smaller, less formal event giving
an opportunity for group work on Debian projects.

On Monday, 18 August 2008, DebianDay will take place in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. DebianDay is a short conference aimed at Debian users, and
others interested in learning more about free software.
