Re: [Debconf-discuss] [Debconf-announce] Room allocation for DebConf7

Hi,

at LinuxDay I've got some information that is a little bit hard to believe
for myself, but in case it is true that there might be a constant cahnge
of resident for the rooms while it is not really sure that all people in
one room are attendees of DebConf I have a suggestion:

We should try to organize stable, testing and unstable rooms.

Stable: All resident in this room are attendees of DebConf and
will not change over the whole time.
Testing: All resident in this room are attendees of DebConf but
will change over the time of DebConf (because they do
               not stay the whole time).
Unstable: Those rooms where other random visitors might drop in.

I personally would definitely like stay in a stable room.

Kind regards

         Andreas.

Thanks for organising accomodation issues.
My prefered housing would be Cowgate Tourist Hotel - just because
there are more conference attendees.

Please state clearly:
* Who you would like to share the room with.

I would like to share room with people like Enrico Zini, Christian Perrier,
Jesus Cliement, Michael Bramer, Noèl Köthe ... and others :)

* Who you would NOT like to share the room with.

I don't know a certain person I would not like to share room with.

* Whether would you rather be with people who speak your language or people
  who don't.

Language does not matter.

* Whether would you rather be with people from your country or not.

Country does not matter.

* What criteria would be "ok" (people from your own team: d-i, kernel,...)

CDD or Debian-Sciences would be fine but not necessary. The rooms are
just for sleeping, right?

The idea is to know your preferences so we can allocate the rooms in a way
that will make people happier.

I would call it a tremendous task to make all people happy. :)

See you in Edinburgh

         Andreas.
