This is how it was last year at Debconf, limited keys. There was a lot
of running back and forth trying to find your roommate to get the key,
and then there were a lot of times that you simply propped the door
open slightly when going to bed so that you did not need to be woken
up when your roommate knocks on the door. Unfortunatley loud people
outside the rooms and drunk roommates coming home and trying to locate
the bed almost make not being woken up impossible.

Lock the door during the day and do the run-around, at night prop it
open while you are in there.
