Fwd: Provisional venue booking for New Engineering Building, August 2016

Finally!!!

I managed to get through to someone who can issue building layouts for UCT Upper.

Allison, can you give a think what exactly we need please? We can chat about this tomorrow and I'll ask her on Thursday.
Are we even still considering Leslie Social and Kramer, for the whole conference?
(I'm booking and will get layout info for Leslie Social 2A for the plenaries anyways).

regards
B

Dear Bernelle

I can issue with drawings, but could you please be specific as to which areas in the buildings you would like, as I cannot issue all floors of all 3 buildings.

Please also indicate what information you would require, as well as format

Kind regards

Liesle

Dear Liesle

We have received approval from Senate to host the annual international Debian Developers conference at UCT, in 2016. The staff member for this is Graham Inggs, a staff member at EBE, also copied in.

My team, some of whom are international and cannot do follow up site visits, would like to have a floor plan of the New Engineering Building (NEB), as well as the Leslie Social Sciences, and if possible Kramer Law building. Is this possible?

Dear Bernelle,

Thank you for your email.

The bookings for the New Engineering Building (NEB) is not managed by our office. You will need to contact the Engineering Faculty. To obtain floor plans you can contact the Physical Planning office (Liesle van Wyk).

Currently we do not have access to make bookings for 2016. We should have access by March 2015 or once Senate has published the final UCT year overview for 2016.

We have marked you email for follow-up as soon as we are able to make bookings for 2016.

Regards

Venue Allocation office

Dear Janine

We have received approval from Senate to host the annual international Debian Developers conference at UCT. The staff member for this is Graham Inggs, a staff member at EBE, also copied in. The venues we are looking at are in the New Engineering Building, and I couldn't see them listed on the venues booking website - is there a specific abbreviation to look for?

Can you please tell me what the procedure is, or recommendations to book these venues, this far in advance? Can you also tell me what costs apply?

My team, some of whom are international and cannot do follow up site visits, would like to have a floor plan of the New Engineering Building (NEB), as well as the Leslie Social Sciences, and if possible Kramer Law building. Is this possible? Who can I ask about this?

We would need:
Leslie Social 2A for two plenary sessions, on 11 and 15 July 2016.

All the available lecture venues, meeting rooms and open spaces (non-exclusive use) in the New Engineering Building (NEB) for 6-16 July 2016, including two Snape lecture venues.

best regards
