All your cheese are belong to us

Hi,

At this debconf, surprisingly,
a cheese and wine party is gonna happen. Again.
And again we will take all the cheese
and other food and drinks we can get :D
We are all greedy and like to eat and drink a lot -

Sadly, the hotel does not allow alcoholic stuff from third party sources
being served in public (technically, one needs a license to
serve alcohol and they don't allow us to use theirs).
You can still bring some (up to 2 liters, according to customs law),
but will need to share it privately outside the cheese and wine party.
So in short - food, yes, drinks, yes, alcohol no.
Of course alcohol will make a guest appearance at the party,
but it will come from the hotel at the usual sort of rate -
but you don't need to worry about that as it'll be our treat ;)

Indian customs regulations:
(usual restrictions of alcohol and similar,
no restrictions on cheese,
restrictions on fruits/plants/seeds)
There is a customs regulation form,
where among others meat/dairy products need to be declared.

Usual historical bits,
in case it's your first DebConf or you weren't paying attention before:
It is a long-standing DebConf tradition that,
one evening of the conference, we get together and eat cheese.
>From its long-ago origins in the room of a French attendee,
the cheese and wine event has expanded into
something with a life of its own.
People bring not only cheese but other local specialities
from their country, and share them with other attendees.
We will most likely be taking your cheesy submissions at Front Desk,
but please watch this space for updates on that front.
For more details, read above.

All the best,
urbec and nattie, acting cheese monsters
