[Debconf-announce] Ad-hoc session scheduling, take 2



Hi,

we discussed how to further improve the ad-hoc sessions and decided to
have them in summit in order to better see them on the schedule and also
to have them livestreamed.

So the procedure is the following now:

1. Sessions for the next day which have been claimed before 6PM of the
current day will be transferred to summit.

2. In order to setup a session, you need to register an event in summit
via https://summit.debconf.org/debconf14/create_meeting/ . Use "Ad-hoc
sessions (debconf14)" as Track and whatever you think is appropriate as
type.

3. Add a link to your summit event in the AdHocSessions wiki page at
https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf14/AdHocSessions

4. The current plan is to provide an open room mic and a screengrab for
the livestream, on a best-effort basis.  If you think you require more
(like mic or camera control, or an edited recording), please contact me
at mbanck@debian.org and I will see what we can do.

Between 6PM and 10PM, your session will then be scheduled in summit for
the next day.  You can still claim empty slots in the wiki for ad-hoc
sessions of that day, they will not be in summit, however.
