Sorry, Jörg, I didn't check your release notes.

I do have cdrtools-3.01_alpha06 installed here (Gentoo) and I thought
that Gentoo selected your mkisofs.

Blindly doing 'man mkisofs' showed this 'alpha note' BUT a second look
revealed that the mkisofs man page is a 'genisoimage' man page 
effectively. I now have to check where this comes from.
