Can it be it has something to do with SRM POW ?
Maybe the drives don't implement it as good
as they should do ?
One could try whether SRM without POW works
better:
mkisofs -R -J /home/troels/for_bd | \
cdrskin -v dev=/dev/sr1 -
with cdrskin version >= 0.6.2, E.g.
http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin-0.7.4.pl00.tar.gz
Above cdrskin command closes the disc.
If you want to keep it appendable:
Add option -multi.
But it seems that you want to fill it up anyway.
(Is that needed with BD at all ?)
The media will not be formatted and thus write
faster. If you want it formatted, slow and
checkreading:
Add option blank=format_if_needed
