"readcd" can read unfinalized DVD+R media (was Re: finalizing DVD+R media ?)

readcd did the job -- thanks a lot for the suggestion
(don't know what the format is but there is raw data that
mplayer is able to interpret correctly from the output
of readcd)
(and i changed the subject so hopefully it will pop out in searches)
