This does not match the current problem.
pengsens' drive refuses on any write mode which yields
this message in wodim's output

while in bug=413960 the according message is:
> Supported modes: TAO PACKET SAO SAO/R96P SAO/R96R RAW/R16 RAW/R96P
and the wodim run fails much later in the course of
processing. The one of pengsens failed before any
writing began.
