A section for Fedora, CentOS and RHEL users might be appropriate. Seeing 
none it wasn't obvious that a typical install, even on a development 
machine, wouldn't suffice.

This just in - doesn't build on SuSE, either. Perhaps another chance for 
additional documentation.
