Announcing Linux CD/DVD burn program cdrskin-0.3.4

Hi,

be invited to try my program cdrskin, a burn backend for
CD and DVD with a command line interface that is compatible
with cdrecord's main gestures for CD.

System requirements:
Linux with kernel 2.4 or 2.6.
With kernel 2.4 an ATA drive has to be under ide-scsi control,
  with kernel 2.6 it shouldn't.
Tests have been made with drives on SCSI, ATA, SATA and USB.
Drive adresses suitable for cdrecord or wodim are supposed to
  work with cdrskin, too.

Freshly released is version 0.3.4 which offers, with the
usage characteristics known from cdrecord with CD media,
on the following media types:
CD-R[W] : -tao, -sao, -multi, [blank=], -dummy, -data, -audio
DVD-R[W] : -tao, -sao, -multi, [blank=], -dummy, -data
  DVD+R : -tao, -multi, -data
  DVD+RW : -tao, -data
  DVD-RAM : -tao, -data
  DVD-RW after blank=format_overwrite : -tao, -data

Download is offered in several variations. Any of them provides
a complete cdrskin program.

cdrskin is part of the libburn-0.3.4 SVN tag:
  http://libburnia-svn.pykix.org/libburn/tags/ZeroThreeFour
(needs autotools >= 1.7 to apply command ./bootstrap)

cdrskin is part of the libburn-0.3.4 release tarball:
  http://libburnia-download.pykix.org/releases/libburn-0.3.4.tar.gz
(needs only vanilla tools for ./configure ; make)

There are also a cdrskin release tarball (containing libburn):
  http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin-0.3.4.pl00.tar.gz
and single binaries in tar wrappers:
  http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin_0.3.4.pl00-x86-suse9_0.tar.gz
  http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin_0.3.4.pl00-x86-suse9_0-static.tar.gz
The latter is supposed to run on most systems with kernel 2.4 or 2.6.

scdbackup.sourceforge.net is mirrored at scdbackup.webframe.org .

Post bug reports or requests
