growisofs from 6.1: file too large?

Trying to write an iso of 1.4GB size I get the error "file too large".
Note, I want to write an image, not a file. 
Command invoked is

/usr/bin/growisofs \
-use-the-force-luke=tty \
-speed=4 \
-Z /dev/brenner=file.iso
