No TOC?

So I'm trying to write a plain data DVD+R with my shiny new Pioneer DVR-109. I'm using k3b with the latest debian/unstable packages as of today.

I drag some files to a new data dvd project, name the volume something cute, click the button to burninate and set the non- appendable option and let it burn. It seems to burn fine, but when I try to mount the resulting disc in any system I get nothing. (Sadly I didn't save the k3b log, as I was rather annoyed at the time)

dvd+rw-mediainfo says:

It seems like the data track is written fine, then the blank filler track and the leadout is there, but there's no TOC listed? I'm assuming this is the problem.

I don't really want to waste a bunch of blanks trying to figure this out. Can anyone offer some suggestions as to what might be going on here?
