Just FYI, I've got an I/O Magic IDVD16DL (also known as a BTC 1016IM) which seems to exhibit the symptoms described for the 1008 drive in the compatibility list as far as DVD-R recording goes, but the -use-the-force-luke=dao option doesn't seem to help. This is with version A07M of the firmware; I haven't had a chance to try with any other version. (Stupid Windows firmware flashers!) Hope this helps! Carl Fongheiser carlfongheiser@gmail.com
