growisofs problem
hi all,
i'm trying to write a dvd from an image, but it fails with a rather
cryptic error message:
laptop ~ # growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvd=/home/tim/aufn.iso
Executing 'builtin_dd if=/home/tim/aufn.iso of=/dev/hdb obs=32k seek=0'
/dev/hdb: "Current Write Speed" is 2.5x1385KBps.
:-[ WRITE@LBA=0h failed with SK=5h/ASC=27h/ACQ=00h]: Input/output error
:-( write failed: Input/output error
any idea?
graveman describes the dvd drive as
SONY DVD RW DW-D56A Removable CD-ROM
/dev/hdb
ATA:0,1,0
ATAPI:0,1,0
