"No medium found" on LiteOn 1673S - somehow higher speed worked!
Hi there,
I got LiteOn 1673S with JS02 bios (the latest). When trying to burn to
4x DVD-R Memorex media under CentOS (same as current RHEL 3 ) with the
dvd+rw-tools-5.21.4.10.8, I kept getting the error:

Different options did not seem to help, and there was not much about
this in google. So I tried changing the speed:
>nice -5 growisofs -speed=8 -use-the-force-luke=dao -dvd-compat -Z
/dev/cdrom1 -R -J *

And suddently things work! Go figure ...
Is there any explanation for why things behaved like this?
