Re: how to use growisofs to merge (-M) on the fly ?

I believe it will be very difficult to do this.
/tmp/pipe.dd.gz is used by growisofs as a pathspec
for mkisofs which reads its file attributes. Especially
the size of the data content is of interest.
But the FIFO will not be able to tell that size
- even if you could talk mkisofs into reading the
FIFO as a regular file.
I am aware of only one way to make mkisofs accept
a sequential stream as source of data content.
That is option -stream-media-size which according
to man mkisofs may not be used together with
"multi-session or hybrid filesystem options."
I understand that ban includes option -M .
Have a nice day :)
