I'm not sure what would lead you to that, I haven't even opened the boxes to see if these drives *have* LUN jumpers. Typically they are on the drive electronics board, implemented as a set of solder pads, although I have seen some little mini-jumpers about 60% the size of a Berg jumper.

set the LUN of one of those drives to != 0, and send the output of
cdrecord -scanbus , and we will see... :-)

My plan exactly. But I want to see what the /proc/scsi/scsi file says, which is what Linux thinks is the config. Then to compare that with cdrecord. Maybe today if I have the time I will teardown these systems and combine them to a single working one.
