Check / verify and test quality of burned CD/DVD's

HI,

I would like to know which tools are out there to verify burned CD's/DVD's and 
which tools or ways are out there for linux to see what quality my burned 
media is. I can verify a burned media with "cmp". But this doesn't give any 
information about quality.

Any hints?
