It's old, but I was under the impression that it is the current
release... Are the version in the alpha subdirectory not alpha
pre-releases?

Just tried it (updated from version 0358 to 0458), and the update
worked fine. However, I forgot to mention this problem last time, so
the problem still exists:

Please reboot before using the drive.
My original code waited until the drive was ready, or it returned
"medium not present". The SSPM version stops waiting if it gets
"medium not present", which is good, but it shouldn't print an error
message for that case.
