Package: apt Version: 0.7.14+b1 Apt seems to produce some strange output when piped through 'tee'. For example: $ apt-get install swi-prolog | tee output.txt Reading package lists... Building dependency tree... Reading state information... Suggested packages: swi-prolog-doc prolog-el The following NEW packages will be installed swi-prolog 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded. Need to get 0B/2635kB of archives. After this operation, 9130kB of additional disk space will be used. Selecting previously deselected package swi-prolog. (Reading database ... 235528 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking swi-prolog (from .../swi-prolog_5.6.59-1_amd64.deb) ... Processing triggers for menu ... Processing triggers for man-db ... Setting up swi-prolog (5.6.59-1) ... Processing triggers for menu ... (The strange indentation being literal.) The output.txt file does not contain this indentation and installing the same package via ``dpkg -i'' does not reproduce the problem. Although it does not cause any real problems, it looks rather odd - the live-magic tool uses "tee" when building a Live system, which then appears quite ugly for end users.
