Ok in fact I may have found the problem, wich would be in gparted.
It is related to bug #434268
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=434268). Do you have a
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/gparted-disable-automount.fdi?
If so, can you remove it, restart hal and retry?
Here it fixed the problem.
