I remember something similar when I used to work on an iBook G4, and I believe the issue is in the kernel. You probably want to report back with an updated system (running an 2.6.32 kernel and a squeeze/sid X stack). Please run the X bug script and attach its output: /usr/share/bug/xorg/script 3>/tmp/script.log This bug should likely be reassigned to the kernel if the issue persists (and closed otherwise). KiBi.
