Please send the output file of "/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg/script 3>
file" after upgrading back to 7.3.

The bug looks like #456780 (screenshot at [1]) which is on ATI, not Intel.

Does adding
    Option "EXANoComposite" "yes"
to the Device section of xorg.cong help?
