I forwarded it upstream at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10013 Note that Xephyr does not seem to have the same problem. So you might want to use it instead of Xnest. Xephyr is recommended instead of Xnest nowadays, it is not clear Xnest will ever be fixed. Brice
