Seeing as these strings don't > get translated, the same changes can probably safely be made to the po > files. Yes, it seems so. Some "sed" editing on the PO files is OK, imho. More specifically, I htink that translators would really dislike the original strings being changed and their translation fuzzied because of these changes.
