Bug#225176: xserver-xfree86: 3D Rage Pro 215GP (rev 5c) (on Sun Ultra5) Black Screen.
I did some poking around and I found some mail arcives that claim...
1. Only 1286x1024 is supported. Dosen't say what depth, but it must be <8,15,16,!(24|32) on a 4MB
card.
2. You must "setenv monitor H" in the bios, didn't exist on my sparc.
You would think that with all X dose to validate video modes it would have been able to catch
that. If I do find that you can get it to work, this can be made a whishlist.
I have not been able to do any testing since I upgraded to 2.6. I'm not going back, now my USB
and bttv work. See #225526.
