I cannot reproduce this problem. I am running sid.

# apt-get install libxft-dev libglade2-dev libgtk2.0-dev libgtkgl2.0-dev li=
bpango1.0-dev libqt3-mt-dev qt3-examples
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
libxft-dev is already the newest version.
libqt3-mt-dev is already the newest version.
The following extra packages will be installed:
  libatk1.0-dev libglib2.0-dev libgtkgl2.0-1
Suggested packages:
  libglib2.0-doc libgtk2.0-doc libpango1.0-doc
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libatk1.0-dev libglade2-dev libglib2.0-dev libgtk2.0-dev libgtkgl2.0-1 li=
bgtkgl2.0-dev libpango1.0-dev qt3-examples
0 upgraded, 8 newly installed, 0 to remove and 6 not upgraded.
Need to get 5484kB of archives.
After unpacking 14.7MB of additional disk space will be used.

libxft-dev doesn't conflict with any of these, except libxft2-dev, from whi=
ch
it was renamed.

If the problem persists, please confirm that you're asking apt to
install the latest versions of these other packages. An "apt-get
dist-upgrade" might be in order, or if you're trying to minimize the
changes to your system, use the command I did.

Closing this report.
