I just notice recently that after logging in through gdm, the LANG variable
is C even if I have choose it to be french. I though this is a bug of gdm*
or gonme but recently I discover that I can set by hand LANG to
fr_FR.ISO-8859-1 and then if I launch another xterm in this wterm window,
I get the message
Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
Note that the system supports fr_FR.ISO-8859-1, since if I do a "ls -l"
I get all the dates displayed in french. So why not Xlib ?
