Yes. I am running 2.2.18pre21aa2 with agpgart and dri built from the stuff
in pre21. Problem is that the mga.o module it builds reports its version as
1.0.0 and the stuff in the debs expects 2.0.0. This stops things dead. Note
ifs not as simple as hacking mga.o to report 2.0.0. This will get dri enable
but will not work (the xserver crashes when dri start).

I have also tried the mga_drv.o from matrox. This one lets dri enable but
then libGL.o complains about the version. The matrox version also messes up
the card settings so a reqular framebuffer screen will not display correctly
(a problem for matrox to fix...).

Understood. Then consider this a heads up. The 2.2.18 kernel has lots of
nice goodies, usb, agpgart, dri, nfsv3. IMVHO Its going to be a very popular
kernel. It would be a good idea to be ready to support this when it arrives.
Suggest that 2.2.18pre23 be used as a model and packaged and the various
accessories (like XF4) built to work with it.
