Terminal problems with ViRGE/MX+MV (rev 03)



Hi,

seeing that 4.0.1-1 of XFree4 arrived I was eager to give it a try on my
notebook.
Since the Virge chips are reported as working I installed it straight away.

Starting X and working with X-Programms worked just fine and was fast.

But opening a x-terminal-emulator like xterm or Eterm or the Gnome-Terminal I
was realy shocked.

Printing text on the screen you are not able to read it because it only
arrives the as pixel mash.

Pressing Ctrl-l in less or so gives you a readable text sometimes.

Working with "NoAccel" works mostly, but switching to a tty sometimes
renders them to something like a graphics mode with a refresh rate your
monitor can't stand.

If I can provide further information I will happily do that.
