Apparently, it doesn't work with DRM compiled into a monolithic
kernel?  When I change the default setting to 16bpp, I get another
signal 11.  I'm probably going to file another bug report, but I want
to play around a bit.  It seems like it's DRM that's the problem:

I've reconfigured the kernel to use a module, but haven't gotten
around to compile/install/testing it yet.  Get back to you on this. 

Still using a Banshee and a 2.4 test kernel.
