The name of the maintainers seem strange: do they really contain e.g. the 
trademark sign and the copyright sign?

I guess this is an encoding problem:
the page is delivered in iso-8859-1 encoding but
the maintainers are (incorrectly) encoded in UTF-8.
To justify this, I present the above snippets here when I manually select 
UTF-8 for this page:
