I read it as "It [the OFFICIAL netinst image] does NOT support internal ISDN
cards."

I realize now that there is no official netinst image, and I don't know
what the story is with internal ISDN support, but I read over that text
probably 4 or 5 times and still didn't feel that I understood what was
going on.

In specific, I have the following problems with the original text:

It's too long and covering too many ideas to really be a single
   paragraph.

The mention of hoping to provide official CDs that support ISDN makes it
seem like there are official CDs that DO NOT support ISDN.

What's unfortunate about the last sentence? That only unofficial images
are available or that they're made by some people?

How about:

NOTE: There are currently no official net install/mini-CD images
   available.

The network install assumes that either an analogue PPP dial-up or
Ethernet connection is available to your Internet Service Provider
(ISP). This may be through a PCMCIA adapter on a laptop. Internal ISDN
cards are not supported - sorry!

The following unofficial net install images are available:

Is there anything that you find particularly unclear or missing about my
re-wording of either of the sample alternatives I've provided?
