[joey@carelia.infodrom.north.de: Translation stats]

Since Joy has "stolen" the script even thoug I objected, fix
the crap yourself. I'm out.

Hi,

I've made some small stats about our translation efford of the
web pages.

Please find it on http://master.debian.org/~joey/webwml/

I've made some time ago some scripts to build pages that would allow
the translators to see when they needed to update them. The results can be
seen at
http://www.debian.org/international/spanish/www.es.html

And you can check the CVS to see the scripts that check out this
information (using the translation-check flags and the translation
templates.. IIRC)

It would not be very difficult to use them to build new statistics,
telling which % is up to date, which % needs to revised (more that Y
changes) and which is obsolete (more than Y different versions in the tags)

There already is (see check_trans.pl in CVS, IIRC). It's not universally
used yet, but you could use the data that is available.

I'd even imagine using it would help it spread :-)

Joy has asked me to move the script and output to klecker, so
from now on, http://people.debian.org/~joey/webwml/ will be updated
daily and contain information about that status of translations
of the pages beneath www.debian.org for all supported languages.

Great!

Could you please update it to check the translation-check headers, so
that we can also see which pages are current translations, and which
are outdated?

And perhaps add in so that we can see which English pages are missing
for translation (for example, there is a page in international/Swedish
which I have no intention of translating into English since it is just
a dictionary)?

Dunno why, but that's done now.

That's not done. Also not done, the program doesn't yet honor
custom major/minor settings and original. I feel this is acceptable
for this listing.

Hello. I've been doing some changes to webwml-stattrans because I find it
useful but not the most useful tool for tracking changes. I wanted to add the
feature of being able to see the CVS changes between versions.

Output corresponding to the changed script is in

http://ulises.adi.uam.es/~ender/webstats/

The patch to webwmlstattrans is attached. I'd like that you apply it, Joey.
:-)

	Regards,

		Ender.

PS: The diff can be an unified diff, too. It's only a config option. But I
prefer colored diff...it's cuter. :-)
