I think that a MiniDebConf in Mexico would be a great event, we had
the former two MiniDebConf women in Europe and probably many women in
America would like to attend but didn't because of distance, cost, etc.
I participated in MiniDebConf Barcelona (2014) but not in the
organization. For MiniDebConf Bucharest I helped in the talks
selection/promotion (encouraging people to send a proposal) but not
much more. I'm in the Debconf maling list since one and a half year,
so I know more or less the things to take into account for organizing
an event, but only because of reading the list, didn't involve much
(except in the publicity).
Maybe if the people that helped organize the former minidebconfs are
available, can give us advice. I definitely would like to help
MiniDebConf in Mexico come true (even when it would be hard for me to
attend, but I'm contributing to DebConf and couldn't/can't attend
either, no problem).
Not much more to say now, I'm quite busy these days, just wanted to
show my support, and hopefully help or send a bit more info/proposals
in the following weeks.
If you create a mailing list for the organization or talk about the
possible conference, please send here the address so I can subscribe.
If you would like a mailing list to be created in the Debian
infrastructure, I think I could do it in Alioth. No idea about the
procedure, but I can ask or research by myself :)
Another option is keep on using this list, with a tag in the subject,
e.g. [MiniDebconf Mexico].

Creo que una MiniDebConf en México sería un gran evento, tuvimos las
anteriores dos MiniDebConf women en Europa y probablemente muchas
mujeres de América les hubiera gustado asistir pero no lo hicieron por
la distancia, coste, etc.
Participé en MiniDebConf Barcelona (2014) pero no en la organización.
Para MiniDebConf Bucarest ayudé en la selección/promoción de charlas
(animando a gente a enviar una propuesta) pero no mucho más. Estoy en
la lista de correo de la DebConf desde hace un año y medio, así que sé
más o menos las cosas a tener en cuenta para organizar un evento, pero
sólo de leer la lista, no me he implicado mucho (salvo en la publicidad).
Quizá si las personas que ayudaron a la organización de las anteriores
minidebconf están disponibles, pueden aconsejarnos. Por supuesto, me
gustaría ayudar a que se hiciera realidad una MiniDebConf en México
(aun cuando sería difícil para mí asistir, pero estoy contribuyendo a
la publicidad de DebConf desde hace un año y medio y tampoco
pude/puedo asistir, ningún problema).
No tengo mucho más que decir ahora, estoy bastante ocupada estos días,
pero quería mostrar mi apoyo, y espero poder ayudar o enviar algo más
de información o propuestas en las próximas semanas.

Si os gustaría que se creara una lista de correo en la infraestructura
de Debian, creo que podría hacerse en Alioth. No tengo idea del
procedimiento, pero puedo preguntar o investigar yo misma :)
Otra opción es seguir usando esta lista, con una etiqueta en el
asunto, [MiniDebConf Mexico], por ejemplo.
