Thanks for that, Daniel.  I was the one who pushed to actually get the
package removed because of the bug you filed.

Upstream's fixes for problem you reported are actually quite significant
(enough to change the package into an architecture-dependent one), but
i've sorted out the packaging and the new approach appears to work
properly now, though the build process is a little wacky.

i hope to have 0.7.8 uploaded to NEW today.
