Bug#179221: RFA: gnomesu -- Allow users to run commands as root, after prompting for password
Package: wnpp
Version: unavailable; reported 2003-01-31
Severity: normal
I request an adopter for the gnomesu package. Note that the upstream maintainer
is now changed to Mark Finlay <sisob@eircom.net>
The package description is:
GNOME SuperUser (formerly Xsu) is an interface for the command
`su - username -c command` in GNOME. When the user executes gnomesu, he/she
will be prompted for a command, a username and a password. If the username
and password are correct gnomesu will execute the command as the entered user.
This can be very useful when using gnomesu in for example gmenu or the GNOME
panel.
