Apologies to all for my doubled replies :( I had forgotten which address
I used and apparently debian-user accepts postings from unsubscribed
users? My MUA also seems to be behaving a little strangely in not
flagging my replies as new for some reason when it receives them.

I'm even more confused because my MUA (claws) now seems to have mixed up
the reply-quoting. Something I've done wrong, I expect.

But that's all my problem and I'll try to resolve it! Apologies. Mea
culpa.
