I'm willing to use what prefix ever, but it's annoying, if I need exactinformation, to figure out how the Linux app I'm using, does interpret theprefix.

hwinfo does use GB for powers of 2 and gparted does use GiB for powers of2, for Linux apps I'm using seldom I never do know what they mean by "GB".
