Re: alternative to kaffeine?

Hi,

is there a good alternative to kaffeine? Since I ran dpkg-reconfigure
fontconfig-config and dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig, kaffeine only shows a
black window. It seems to be still working, just I can't do much with
it because the window is blacked out.

So far, I've tried mythtv, and I don't like it, and I tried vdr and
couldn't get it to work, probably because I'd need another TV card.
What I'm looking for is a way to record movies with my TV card,
preferably something that can run independent from X11.

Other than that, does anyone have an idea how to fix kaffeine?

hi,

try vlc (videolan) in debian repository)

or/and

mplayer (i prefer the compiled one with subversion from their site) dont forget the codes (put them in /usr/lin/win32)

success,

steef
