Error: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer

Hi,

I get this while trying to scp onto a local machine(on the same subnet, both machines running Lenny).

Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer
lost connection

I am able to ping the machine fine.

How can this be fixed?
