Hi; Wondering if anyone knows of a GUI for managing a digital camera for
downloading pictures, etc ?
There doesn't seem to be any such beast in testing, preferrably one that
works with Gnome as opposed to KDE. Thanks.

gthumb
picasa from google (not in debian package system)
you could have checked debian package search (http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages) for a list of packages with the term photo to see what else is there.
