thanks for the quick response

how can i find out if this is my issue...when i setup the system ..i took defaults.

Though, i removed the files..it still does not change the 100% number.

Ext2/Ext3 filesystems have a percentage of space reserved
for emergencies.  You can change the percentage with
"tune2fs -m number".  You can do this safely at any time,
even when the filesystem is mounted.
